My dad gave me some good advice once about being a good cook or hostess. He said pick one thing and get really good at it. For instance when you're invited to picnics or parties get one dish or entree that you can make perfectly and always bring it. I'm actually known for my Chocolate Covered Strawberries. I even got the tupperware fancy carrier two tier display case for them. I'm the queen at parties because people love them and think I'm gourmet.
Here is how to make them:
Kerri's Famous Chocolate Covered Strawberry Recipe
1. Wash and dry the strawberries and set them on wax paper
2. Put the dark dipping chocolate in the microwave and follow the directions for how long
3. Remove the dark chocolate and dip the whole strawberries in the chocolate making sure they are completely submerged in chocolate and then lay each one back on the wax paper to let dry for 5 minutes
4. Put the white dipping chocolate in the microwave and follow the directions.
Pick up each chocolate covered strawberry and re dip the tips of the strawberry in the white chocolate. Don't cover the whole thing just do the tips less than half way to the end of the strawberry. This will create a double white/black effect on each one. Lay them back on the wax paper to dry. Do not refrigerate.
5. After they are hardened and dry place them on your display tray and cover until ready to serve.
You will look like Martha Stewart for any occasion. These taste even better than they look.
